In her youth, Laurelarth discovered the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci and his bodies and machines drawings. During her studies, it’s cabinets of curiosities and steampunk clothing that call for her attention, and that she will deconstruct. She is also inspired by Barbara Canepa, Civiello, Jean Baptiste Monge, Séverine Pineaux, as well as Alan Lee and John Howe for their fantasy and supernatural worlds. The abundance of elements to detail leads to visual exploration of her artworks, which feels like satisfying a curiosity.
